Meet codes. Keep design.
Make solar part of your design from the start. You choose the layout, coverage and finish - giving your clients a beautiful solar roof that complements the home you’ve designed.
More for your clients. Built into your design.
Lower electricity bills
More from the roof budget
Keep the intended design
Avoid a second installation
Planning in-roof solar starts from you
The EU’s updated building rules already affect designs being prepared today. New buildings with permit applications submitted after 29 May 2026 must be designed to optimise their solar potential and allow future installation without costly structural changes.
Check your project’s national requirements before the design is fixed. Consider orientation, roof and façade design, and structural capacity early. This gives you time to coordinate solar with your client and engineers while keeping control of the architecture.
Solar installations on new public and non-residential buildings over 250 m² have an EU rollout deadline of 31 December 2026. For new homes, Commission guidance covers permit applications submitted from 1 January 2030.
Make solar part of the architecture
Design the solar area alongside roof windows, chimneys and material choices. Choose the layout and finish early, so solar complements the building you’ve designed.
With full-roof and partial coverage options, including integration with compatible tiles, you can recommend solar while keeping the roof’s appearance part of your original vision.
Clear plan to build in-roof solar
Work with SOLARSTONE on roof layouts, 3D models and material lists. Show your client how the roof could look and give the project team a clear basis for pricing.
Coordinate roofing details and electrical requirements before construction starts. Resolve questions with the right specialists early, helping your design reach the finished building as intended.

Questions answered
No. BIPV is integrated into the roof structure rather than mounted on top, allowing you to maintain clean lines and design intent. It enables solar without compromising the visual identity of the building.
No. BIPV simplifies construction by combining roofing and energy generation into one system. It reduces coordination between contractors and streamlines installation with a single, integrated approach.
Yes. While initial costs may differ, BIPV replaces conventional roofing materials while generating electricity, creating long-term value through energy savings and reduced duplication of materials.
BIPV helps meet evolving energy regulations and ESG requirements by turning buildings into energy producers. It supports low-energy and nearly zero-energy building standards.
Yes. The system is designed for scalability and consistent installation, making it suitable for residential developments as well as larger projects requiring repeatable, reliable solutions.
